Paypal – Paypal is so fast and secure. To pay with your credit card or direct deposit on PayPal you do not have to have an account you can make a once of payment. On check out you will be directed to Paypal to pay by this method.
Credit Cards – We can process Visa, MasterCard and AMEX through our payment gateway. You can select using this method on Check-out.
Bank Deposit – Payment can be made directly into our bank account via direct deposit. If choosing this option then our account details will be provided to you on check out.
Cash – We accept payment by cash if picking up from our warehouse.

Yes. We love to see customers in store and actually really enjoy showing each customer the benefits of particular products.  If you purchase online and pick-up at our store, we are happy to change the product if you have not selected the right thing. We love a happy customer!

Once your order has been sent from our shop, you will receive an email to say it has been dispatched. Every product we sell is sent direct to your door. We do not believe in sending to depots where you need to pick the product up from. YES ALL OUR PRODUCTS ARE SHIPPED TO YOUR FRONT DOOR!!

We dispatch all items within 24 hours, with the exception of some kayak and stand up paddleboard locations which are dependent on our private contractor team. We are happy to provide a guide for your area if you would like to contact us. All our smaller packages are sent with Australia Post E-parcel.

We take so much care in packaging up our items for the courier.

All Kayaks are bubble wrapped and have an  extra layer of plastic over the bubble wrap for added protection.

All Soft boards and Surfboards have multiple layers of Bubble wrap and are also sent in cardboard boxes .

With Stand up Paddleboards these have multiple layers of bubble wrap with extra protection around the nose and tail. A large box is used to protect them further.

We realise that sometimes you may change your mind after purchasing a product and encourage you to return any new, unopened item within 14 days of delivery for a full refund or exchange. We will refund the cost of the goods once returned, not any postage component.　So you will be responsible as the customer for all postage costs if returning a product. We must be contacted prior to returning any item.

The type of SUP paddle you select will be determined by many factors and you can avoid fatigue and injury by selecting the right paddle for your needs.

Aluminium paddles are much heavier than carbon fibre paddles but are more economical. Aluminium do serve perfectly for families as they are robust and can take heavy handling from being thrown around.
The Carbon Fibre Paddle is more expensive but performance orientated, the lighter the paddle the longer you will want to paddle for. The quality construction and feather weight feeling of a carbon paddle is a huge advantage when you are paddling for any length of time. You must take more care with this type of paddle, they are built for speed and manoeuvrability, so keep this in mind.

So if you are a casual user who is more concerned about cost than the aluminium paddle is the one, but if you are paddling over longer distances than we suggest a carbon paddle will be a wise investment.

With the carry handle being in the centre of the board, it is a good guideline for placement of your feet. You stand upright on the board, your knees should be slightly bent and shoulder width apart. Keep your feet and toes parallel to the nose of the board and make sure you tuck in your butt!! Lowering your centre of gravity while paddling creates more stability.

When you start paddling you will gain momentum and this will help with stability. You must dip the paddle blade completely in the water and make sure you take a long stroke through the water, making sure it is your back muscles not arms that are doing a lot of the work.

All CMP Boards come with 8 Inch Centre Fins and 5 Inch Side Fins. Funky SUP Boards come with an 8 Inch Centre Fin.

To install the centre fin remove the screw and aluminium plate from the fin box. Slide the aluminium plate into the recessed track in the fin box. Put the aluminium plate as far forward so that it ensures the process is easier later. Put the fin into the fin box. Slide the brass pin to the bottom of the opening and side the fin backwards to the desired position. The final step is to push the front of the fin into the fin box. With the provided phillips head screw attach the fin to the aluminium plate.

To install the side fins you will use the provided allens key and tighten the grub screw against the fin. The most important element of this process is to ensure you DON’T over tighten the grub screw. Please see our video “SUP Fin Set up Guide”.

The best SUP is the board that fits you and your lifestyle. Consider that if it is way too big or does not carry your weight, you will not want to ride it.

There are a few factors you might consider when purchasing a board. Is the board only for one individual, as you can narrow this down to a board that carry’s your weight capacity and could justify spending a little more as you will care for it. If the SUP is for a few people to share like a family a cheaper board might be good with durability in mind. Remember that small children are still able to paddle 11 Foot boards as on the water they do not weigh much at all.

It is important to consider board sizes and your physical weight as this affects how the board will perform on the water. You want a board that you can paddle efficiently and keeps you on top of the water. A good example would be that if someone weighs 60kg and another 90kg, the heavier person will sit lower on the board in the water with more resistance. So they will have to paddle more. Keep in mind that the longer the board the faster it will be and all-rounder boards have more stability and are perfect for the casual rider. For further information see our video “Choosing a SUP”.

Damage that can occur while you are using your SUP include dings, cracks and depressions. Some will not harm your board and are more cosmetic and others can cause serious harm to your board. Minor dings or scratches you can often repair yourself but big gauges in your board may require a professional to repair. It is important that with these bigger gauges you do not use the board until it is repaired as you do not want water to get into the core and ruin the board.

A depression in your board can be caused by regular use and often is not that harmful to your board. It is important just to try and handle your board with care and try and avoid running into hard surfaces at speed.

A leg rope really does help whether you are paddling on a calm lake or in the surf. These SUP leg ropes are recommended to be the same length as your board or thereabouts and make getting back to your board so much easier when you fall off. Having the right length is important as if it is too short you won’t be able to move around the SUP and also the board could hit you when you fall off if it is not long enough.

A leg rope which is straight has a lot more strength than the alternate coiled leg rope. You must make sure it is not too thin because the length of a paddleboard can snap the leash if under to much pressure.

Most customers that come into our shop are surprised that our boards are much lighter than they look. Keeping in mind that our boards are moulded boards which make them lighter and stronger than a lot of epoxy boards on the market.

Our boards have an ergonomic carry handle in the centre of the board so is very easy to grab and carry. Alternatively you might want to see our great SUP trolleys that are popular over longer distances.

Yes absolutely. Keep your board out of direct sunlight as much as possible. Always store a board in a cool, dry area. Repair any dings that have cracked the surface of the board with epoxy resin only. If you do hit something hard check your board immediately as you do not want water getting into the foam core. Do not remove the breather valve plug which automatically vents the gas and hot air building up inside your board; you can make sure the valve plug is finger tight. Fins should never ever hit the sand and this includes whilst paddling.

All our kayaks come bubble wrapped and also in a layer of plastic. So they are protected in transportation. You will need to put the seat on and any rod holders, which is a simple process. All other equipment is set up ready to go. The exception is the rudder system where our video “setting up a rudder on a kayak” will help.

Yes. Some models stack better then others. Most sit on top kayaks like our snapper kayak are perfect when stacked on each other, with sit in kayaks they will overlap rather than stack on top of each other. We advise if purchasing 2 kayaks, buy at least one set of J Racks for ease of use. Because trying to get a second kayak on top of the first kayak and tied down can take time and can be slippery if wet. It is also possible to get 3 kayaks on if required. Please contact us with questions on certain models and we are happy to help.

With a kayak up to 3 metres, they will usually fit into a SUV or wagon. You will need to fold down the rear seats and sometimes the passenger side as well. We do encourage customers to come to our shop to try it out before purchase, we are happy for you to see how it works.

Yes. Our soft roof racks come with tie down straps and are super easy to use. We do not advise to use soft racks for sea kayaks due to the long length usually putting pressure on your car’s roof. Smaller models up to 4 metre’s are perfect for soft racks and can be used for 2 smaller kayaks as well if they stack on each other.

Yes. Our Triple Kayak is designed for you to move the seat into the centre and paddle the kayak on your own. All the clips are already attached for the seat to move into this position with ease. If you are paddling this with a child and an adult, you are best to put the adult at the rear and the child at the front, so you can paddle more efficiently.

Although this is the last thing you want to think about it is worth noting that you can repair a plastic kayak by using a polyethylene repair kit. To do this use a propane torch or plastic welder and a polyethylene repair kit to weld the plastic over the affected area. Yes. Weekend Warrior Kayaks all have ultra-violet inhibitors with colour compounds combined into the polyethylene. Making for a kayak that is resistant to the sun’s ray. The sun is the major factor of concern relating to the life span of a polyethylene kayak. Our kayaks have 6 years of inbuilt UV stabilizes which means that if left in direct sunlight for this period the kayak will start to breakdown and this means it will become discoloured, then eventually brittle. We recommend that you should still not store your kayak exposed to direct sunlight for long periods of time, so if you are storing it outside put a tarp over it or kayak cover. So the best thing is to store these kayaks out of direct sunlight. If a kayak is stored out of the sun, in a garage, shed, or other shady area you will get a long lifespan out of your kayak.

Indentations can occur on plastic kayaks and this is often due to improper transportation or storage, where you have tied it to your roof so tight that it has deformed the shape of your kayak. Or storing a kayak on its hull. A good thing there is a solution to get these dents out, by putting the yak in the hot weather for a few hours where the heat will help it to reform shape. Some people recommend a hair dryer or hot water if you are in a cold area to help pop the kayak back into shape. Always be mindful to store a kayak on its side or vertically, never on the hull. Also when transporting be mindful of the hull, kayak cradles or J racks are very useful for correctly transporting a kayak. A plastic kayak can handle you dragging it down the beach and is more durable than you would think. Keeping in mind you should avoid dragging your kayak as you might damage the keel. This is where kayak trolleys or the carry handles on a kayak are very handy.

Small amounts of water can enter through hatches and when used in cool water through condensation. All our kayaks have drain plugs to assist in removing the water and you can open hatches when storing which than allows the excess water to evaporate.

A Weekend Warrior Kayak is very simple in terms of maintenance. An important element is to wash your kayak off with fresh water after use. Salt water is not harmful to the plastic but this will maintain all the attachments including stainless screws, rivets, and rudders, to ensure they last for years

High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) is a very tough material. Other plastics used are cross link polyethylene and recycled plastic. We do NOT recommend anyone buy a recycled plastic kayak as they have no UV stabilents for long term durability. High density Polyethylene can be easily modified and welded if damaged. Fibreglass includes kayaks made from carbon and kevlar which are not as durable as any form of plastic kayak. Fibreglass is stiffer and this helps with it being rigid over large flat areas and offers excellent hull shape. But is more brittle so can’t handle high impact. Fibreglass is lightweight in comparison to polyethylene, but needs more care when handling.

Although you can’t see the inside of a board you should realise the importance on performance and quality. The key features of our boards that make them a commercial surf school softboard are that they are vacuum sealed and also have soft bumper rails.
The process of a vacuum sealed construction is the combining of the layers whilst under pressure in a sealed bag. The layers bond together under the pressure. This method provides the highest softboard quality, reinforcing the board strength and offering a waterproof bond. Never ever purchase a heat laminated softboard as these are low quality boards and will more than likely delaminate.
Our PE Soft Black bumper rails offer a softer shaped rail which are tapered and offer a more forgiving ride. This soft bumper rail is vital to the quality of a softboard and enhances the strength and impact of a board.

With technology advancements there are so many different ways boards are being constructed.

The fibreglass surfboards are considered to be the traditional model with a polyurethane core which is covered in a fibreglass cloth.

The epoxy boards have a polystyrene core which is coated with an epoxy resin. Epoxy surfboards weigh a lot less, have loads of floatation and are much stronger than a fibreglass board.

The boards do feel different on the water and it does come down to personal choice.
